Su imaginario se nutre de recuerdos de la niñez, de la ternura y de la suavidad en los vínculos. Animales y personajes, referencias visuales de la infancia, imágenes recortadas y reconstruidas habitan sus composiciones. Estas figuras emergen en atmósferas cálidas y envolventes entre manchas recortadas, evocando la luz de la cocina de su infancia, el lugar donde pasaba largas tardes dibujando.
El soporte —muro, tela o papel— funciona como una superficie viva, a través de capas sucesivas de pintura, las formas aparecen, se transforman, desaparecen y vuelven a surgir, dejando espacio para la intuición, el accidente y la sorpresa.
Su trabajo se complementa con la docencia, un espacio que profundiza su interés por la atención, la escucha y la observación como herramientas de conocimiento. En este cruce entre creación y pedagogía, la pintura se convierte en un dispositivo de exploración sensible, donde lo cotidiano puede abrirse hacia dimensiones emocionales y espirituales más profundas.

Carola Bagnato centers her artistic and pictorial practice around a space of exploration of the unconscious, where memories, dreams, and everyday images intertwine to construct intimate narratives. Her work unfolds between the public space—murals on walls and shutters—and the studio environment, where she develops painting on canvas, sketchbook drawings, digital illustration, and sculpture. Both contexts feed into each other, expanding and enriching her visual research.
Her imagery draws from childhood memories, tenderness, and the softness of human connections. Animals and characters, visual references from childhood, and cut-out images that are reassembled inhabit her compositions. These figures emerge within warm and enveloping atmospheres, among layered shapes and color fields, evoking the light of the kitchen in her childhood home—the place where she spent long afternoons drawing.
The surface—whether wall, canvas, or paper—functions as a living ground. Through successive layers of paint, forms appear, transform, disappear, and re-emerge, leaving room for intuition, accident, and surprise.
Her practice is complemented by teaching, a space that deepens her interest in attention, listening, and observation as tools for knowledge.
